Tell us something looks wrong
We would rather hear it than not. Here is how corrections work, and why the fix sometimes lives at CMS rather than here.
Two kinds of correction
If our snapshot is stale
We rebuild from CMS source files periodically, so a page reflects the data as of its snapshot date (shown on the page). If CMS has already updated a value and we have not yet refreshed, the fix is on our side and arrives with the next rebuild. Our data updates log shows when each dataset was last refreshed.
If the CMS record is wrong
If the value is wrong in CMS’s own data, correcting it here would only re-create the error at the next rebuild. The durable fix is at the source: providers work with CMS and their state survey agency to correct the record, and the correction then flows into our next snapshot. Confirm the current record any time on Medicare’s Care Compare.
