Advertising & sponsorship policy

SeniorCareRating.com is operated by PGBDIC LLC, an Illinois limited liability company and is a free, independent public-data reference.

Last updated August 2026.

To keep the site free, it displays advertising. This page explains how we handle that, so readers always know what they are looking at.

Advertising on SeniorCareRating.com is managed by Mediavine under its Journey program. Mediavine is our advertising partner and works with third-party advertising vendors to select, deliver, and measure the ads you see. Those vendors may use cookies and similar identifiers, and may process information such as your IP address, device and browser type, and the pages you view. Google AdSense is also installed and may serve ads. Ads are labeled and kept separate from CMS data.

To learn how Mediavine collects and uses this data, see Mediavine’s Privacy Policy. The advertising vendors authorized to sell inventory on this site are published in our ads.txt file, which Mediavine maintains on our behalf. For what we collect and your choices — including the consent prompt presented in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, and the “Do Not Sell or Share” controls — see our Privacy Policy.

Independence of our data and editorial

Advertising and sponsorship never influence how we present CMS data. Every rating, penalty record, inspection citation, care measure, and ownership field is shown exactly as the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) publishes it. Advertisers cannot pay to change, add, remove, reorder, or hide any facility’s data, and they cannot pay for favorable presentation.

CMS data is never a paid placement

Facility profiles, county pages, ownership pages, and search results are generated from public CMS records — not from payments. Nothing on a facility, county, or ownership page is a sponsored result.

Clear labeling

Advertising is labeled (for example, “Advertisement” or “Sponsored”) and kept visually separate from CMS data and site navigation. We do not disguise ads as search results, facility data, or links, and we do not use deceptive or accidental-click layouts, pop-ups, or interstitials. Ad placement is configured through the Mediavine dashboard; it never reorders, filters, or alters a CMS data display.

Our policy is that advertising should not compete with the record itself. The Google AdSense loader is withheld from the search workspace, the comparison tools, and our legal and policy pages, including this one. Mediavine placement is configured in its dashboard rather than in our code, and we apply the same intent there.

No endorsements

We do not sell endorsements, rankings, or “best of” placements, and we do not accept payment to make any facility or company look better or worse. We report CMS facts and add no rating, score, or opinion of our own. The presence of an advertisement is not an endorsement by SeniorCareRating.com of the advertiser, and is not an endorsement of any facility. Neither Mediavine nor any advertiser has any role in how providers are ordered, filtered, or presented.
